  • Designed and developed an ontology for manufactured products and services with appropriate instantiations for Cyprus manufacturing and service sectors.
  • Contributed to the design and development of a semantics-based Search Engine.
  • Analysis of business models of E-commerce for Reverse Logistics.
  • Modeling and analysis of return flows in Business to Consumer E-commerce applications.
  • Design and development of a Prototypical E-marketplace for end-of-use ICT products. The system is based on Access RDBMS and Java Servlets, Java Server Pages and software agents.

Management Information Systems

  • Contributed to the development of ANTON text similarity detection system for the Greek Language.
  • Contributed to the design, development and testing of a quality management application for monitoring and control performance in service related enterprises. The application has received an award on Innovation by the Republic of Cyprus
  • Design, development and deployment of distributed systems for the support of logistics operations and procedures for the transfer of goods in the supply chains with extensions for return flows. The system is based on an Oracle RDBMS with JAVA and Tuxedo as a transaction monitor middle-ware. Message passing is effected via XML and EDIFACT via the Internet and CCN/CSI, a proprietary WAN.

  • Modeling, analysis, control and diagnostics of intelligent systems.
  • Petri Net based system modeling, diagnostics, control, coordination and performance evaluation of DEDS, FMS and CIM Systems.
  • Manufacturing agility metrics and performance evaluation.
