Research interests

Dr. Despo Ktoridou is currently an Associate Professor and Head of the Management & MIS Department at the University of Nicosia in Cyprus. She holds a B.Sc. (1991) and a M.Sc. (1993) in Computer Engineering and a Ph.D. (2000) in Expert Systems from Saint Petersburg State Electrotechnical University in Russia. Dr. Ktoridou has worked as: a Senior Computer Engineer for various organizations in Cyprus (1992-1999); an Assistant Professor of Educational Technology in the Education Department, University of Nicosia (2000-2007); and an Associate Professor of MIS, School of Business, University of Nicosia (2007-present). Dr. Ktoridou’s research focuses on the areas of: ICT-Information Communication Technologies Application in Education; Innovation and Technology Management in Education; and Business and Innovative Teaching/Learning Pedagogies in Higher Education. Dr. Ktoridou has presented papers in numerous refereed international conferences and has published several papers in refereed journals. She also serves as a Guest Lecturer and Reviewer for Scientific journals and International Conferences. She has also participated in EU and local funded programs and has been invited by foreign universities as a guest lecturer.
