In this paper the geometrical theory of diffraction is used to determine the mutual coupling and the received voltages from rectangular slots performing a conformal array in a perfectly conducting elliptic cylinder. Results for arrays with two and three slots show the practicality of such array in the direction finding. Especially it is shown that cylinders with large axial ratio give smoother results.
