Abstract
Despite the problems in assessing attitudes, doing so is clearly a responsibility that this medical school is tackling using a variety of approaches. Developments in the new curriculum towards PBL offer further opportunities for addressing attitudes. The educational programme that students experience with their tutors should also be seen to mirror the doctor-patient and interprofessional relationships that the curriculum aims to foster.
