Abstract

SUMMARY. The surgeries give immediate results to many aesthetic problems. In recent years, non-invasive methods have been increasingly used to treat skin aging, without anesthesia, post-operative complications, and with reduced recovery time. The constant evolution of technology offers the possibility of a number of problem-solving applications in Aesthetic through state-of-the-art devices that base their operation on the production of high intensity focused ultrasound or/and radiofrequency. The principle of operation of these devices is constantly evolving and their ability, compared to other methods of dealing with skin aging, to be superior to methods which are best proved to be superior to them. [1] Modern applications of RF and ultrasound via devices producing High Intensity Focused Ultrasound [H.I.F.U.] can address skin aging. Their effectiveness is based on the generation of heat in the deep tissues rather than the superficial ones.
