Abstract

In this work we present the results from numerical calculations of the energy absorption inside the body in the proximity of an RFID reader. The FDTD technique was used in order to assess the specific absorption rate averaged in 10g of tissue. Both near and far field conditions were considered. The results are in compliance with ICNIRP guidelines.
