On the design of a slot planar antenna array for DBS reception

Abstract

The analysis of a planar antenna consisting of radial slots is presented. The structure of the antenna is made by a slotted cavity containing two different dielectric materials. Making the mode analysis, the excitation coefficients on the slots were found and the radiation pattern for different geometries and different number of slots was succeeded. In the study, the proper coupling factor and the attenuation coefficient were taken into account.
