Abstract

This paper presents a cloud platform that is developed in the context of PinCloud, a project to improve the personalization of electronic health data and services in Greece. PinCloud shall provide the individual with the means for congregating, managing and disclosing personal health data, with a focus put on support for self-management, telecare and e-learning. The main core of PinCloud lies in the efficient fusion and self-management of healthcare data acquired by diverse sources, such as vital signs posted by connected biosensors and medical records made available after a patient’s interaction with primary and secondary care units. Four real use case scenarios concerning different stages of health and disease management, involving various stakeholders, are presented here.
