Abstract
Multiculturalism from a practitioner's viewpoint can be a complicated and allegedly nefarious strategy. In the context of Cyprus, an island on the 'eve' of joining the European Union it is, I will argue, challenging and a pre-requisite for the creation of a workable united and federal Cyprus. Whilst politicians and diplomats have apparently failed to reach an agreement over the last three decades poets and musicians have been busy expressing and creating common works./1/.
