Abstract

This paper presents the design stages of the ReProTool, a software tool that supports the design and development of university academic programmes of study using Learning Outcomes and the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS). The paper starts by addressing the limitations of applying manually a design/development process, as compared to the advantages of using a software tool. It then continues with the user requirements and the functionality of the proposed tool and presents the tool's user interface design, accompanied by screenshots of a prototype that match the described functionality. The paper also discusses a relational database design that will underpin the development of the tool.
