Abstract

The resonant characteristics of circular and ring patch antennas printed on transversely magnetized ferrites are studied. The "perfect magnetic walls" approximation was employed in order to get a physical insight into the problem. The resulting closed form expressions serve also as an initial guess witch can be fine-tuned using electromagnetic simulators. Both saturation magnetization and partial magnetization states are studied. The comparison of the calculated results against simulated and measured results shows a satisfactory agreement.
