The ongoing digitisation of the tourism and hospitality sectors is changing mindsets, customer experiences, even the way we conduct business. It seems, however, that not all technologies have the same acceptability. For technologies like robots and artificial intelligence, acceptability by companies and customers is unpredictable whereas emerging innovations such as blockchain could disrupt previously disruptive and financially successful technologies. The full potential of some applications is yet to be discovered.
