The SARS-CoV-2 crisis can be seen as a socially acute question in which a multitude of interests and points of view are at stake, creating diverse and complex scenarios around the world. Decision-making in such controversial scenarios requires the use of critical thinking based on scientific knowledge. In education, adequate tools are needed to deal with the complexity of socially acute questions. This paper presents a controversy mapping about the COVID-19 pandemic and provides guidance on how to use it with students at different educational stages. Finally, references are provided to learn more about the issues addressed.
