N2 - Teachers’ training is a relevant and recurrent topic in European and National educational policies. Training teachers in managing students’ challenging behaviors is a particularly complex topic, due to the difficulty of training teachers in real conditions and not only providing them with theoretical skills. The VIRTUOUS project, funded under the Erasmus+ program, intends to address this issue with an innovative approach. The project intends to develop an immersive virtual environment, in which the teacher finds himself in a series of scenarios in the presence of students with challenging behaviors. The teacher can choose between different behavioral / educational methodologies, which lead to different outcomes of the scenarios. The use of VR viewers allows the teacher to find himself in a context similar to the real one and thus obtain more instinctive reactions.
